My Family
I grew up in Delaware and continue to live in Delaware with my family. My husband and I have been married for 8 years and have 4 little girls. We spend a lot of time with our daughters and enjoy family outings with them! We also have a large, local extended family that we enjoy spending time with.
My Education
After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Delaware majoring in Biological Sciences. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2006 with a BA in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology. I worked for several years before deciding that I wanted to go back to school to become a teacher. I enrolled in an education program at Wilmington University. In 2012, I graduated from Wilmington University with a Masters of Arts in Secondary Teaching. I am certified to teach math, science and special education in the State of Delaware.
My Teaching Experience
I had the pleasure of joining the Colonial School District in the 2013-2014 school year teaching 6th grade math at McCullough. I continued to teach 6th grade math at McCullough for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years. In the 2016-2017 school year, I began teaching 7th grade math. The 2018-2019 school year marks my 6th year at McCullough and third year in 7th grade! This is my third year serving as 7th grade team leader and I am also a math league coach for the 2018-2019 school year.
